Appeal for assistance for the reconstruction of an auxiliary building in the Church of St. Nicholas and Holy Savior in Gotovusa village- Kosmet, Serbia
People of good will,
dear Brothers and Sisters,
In the village of Gotovusa, in the Sirinic County, in the bottom of Sara Mountain, there are two churches dating back to the early Middle Ages.
In the upper part of the village we have the Church of St. Nicholas-Holy Savior, built in the 12th century and it's considered the oldest church.
At the end of the village is the church dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
This church was built in the 16th century, although it is located on the foundations of a much larger church that was built somewhere around the 5th century, according to some archeologists, who had the opportunity to see the preserved floor mosaics of very high quality workmanship.
There are also advocates of the opinion that this area was the seat of the chorbishop, since the geographical position of the Sirinic County and its land potential allowed for a greater independence.
Other historical data undoubtedly speak of thousand-year existence of the Orthodox Christian faith.
Today, we are doing our best to protect our Holy places from decay, leaving the testament and example to our generations, that they do the same.
We are doing everything we can, but our capabilities are still limited, especially in terms of financial resources, which are always lacking.
This time we need financial resources in order to build stone walls around bell towers for both churches as well as completely reconstruct the auxiliary facilities.
May your contribution be according to your capabilities and will.
Relying on God's grace and help and your understanding, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Inicijativni odbor sela Gotovusa, Molba za pomoc radi rekonstrukcije pomocnog objekta u crkvi "Sv. Nikola- Sv. Spas" u Gotovusi
Draga braco i sestre,
U gornjem delu sela imamo crkvu Sv. Nikole- Sv.
I mnogi drugi istorijski podaci govore o hiljadugodisnjem postojanju Pravoslavne hriscanske vere.
