Help Rebuild Freeport Youth Baseball Fields After Devastating Storms

Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters of Freeport Youth Baseball,

We’re reaching out in need of help after severe storms recently swept through our community,

causing significant damage to the Freeport Youth Baseball fields. As many you have seen,

multiple huge oak and pine trees caused destruction to both Field A and Field B and much

needed repairs are needed. Our press box/storage shed and batting cage were destroyed, and

several fences surrounding the fields were torn down or severely damaged. We are happy to

say with outstanding volunteers in the past 48 hours that we were able to get temporary fencing

up to get games played this weekend. However these things are temporary.

These fields are more than just a place to play baseball, they’re where kids learn teamwork,

build lifelong friendships, and create lasting memories. Many of you still remember and value

your childhood years growing up on a ballfield. They’re a safe space where our community

gathers to cheer on our young athletes and celebrate the spirit of youth sports.

Freeport Youth Baseball is a volunteer-run organization that relies on the generous support of

families and local sponsors. Many volunteers have already stepped up but unfortunately, FAYB

needs more. The cost of repairs is far beyond what our annual budget can cover. That’s why

we’re turning to you, our extended baseball family and kind hearted community, for help.

Your donation will go directly toward:

● Rebuilding the press box, batting cage, and storage shed

● Repairing and replacing damaged fences

● Ensuring our fields are safe and playable for the upcoming season

● Restoring the experience that our kids deserve
