Support La Caoba to Re-forestate and Re-generate in Ghana

A Call for Regeneration and Sustainable Community

In Prampram (coastal area), Ghana, once-thriving lands are now struggling due to overuse, deforestation, and climate change. La Caoba is dedicated to reversing this damage by restoring soil health, planting native trees, and creating sustainable agricultural systems that benefit both the environment and the local community.

In 2024 artists and cultural organisers - Larry Bonćhaka (coming from Ghana) and Sopo Kashakashvili (coming from Tbilisi, Georgia) made a project in village Kwamo (Kumasi) called - ‚Sculpture Parks‘. A land carefully planted and crafted by horticulturists and artists. It was this land that inspired us to care for depleted lands across Ghana, as well as spread knowledge and create water accessibility.

Overall, a project that can bring nature and art together in a conglomerate and in so doing creating sustainable communities.

We want to start with a pram pram area in Ghana with 1 acre. Let's see where later on our journey will take us on with you.

We hope that the land will not only contribute to communities in Ghana with shade, fresh air and clean water but artists globally to come and work on the land, cite specific interventions and installations as well as escape so-called „concrete jungles“ that are unsustainable non-natural environments.

In the future, we hope to reforestate even bigger areas and create forests and parks for the communities. As well as use local materials to build infrastructures which will thrive with nature (for example: using already existing clay on the land, stones and hay). Working with a community of builders, artisans, horticulturists and artists locally and spreading globally.

With your support, we can:
  • Revitalize degraded land through reforestation and regenerative farming.
  • Protect biodiversity and combat climate change.
  • ‍ Empower local farmers with sustainable land management practices.
  • Improve water retention and soil fertility for long-term impact.
  • Be able to afford to work with local architects and artisans (for land planning and infrastructural advices)

Your donation will directly fund the planting of trees, soil enrichment programs, and educational workshops for the community. Together, we can turn depleted land into a flourishing ecosystem and create a lasting legacy for future generations.

Join us in restoring Prampram—every contribution brings us one step closer to a sustainable and more hopeful future.

Please Donate whatever you can or share our story. We hope, very soon each of you can become part of this project and movement.
