Hi everyone,

I’m raising funds to participate in a once-in-a-lifetime internship with Global Reef Marine Conservation, a program based in Koh Tao, Thailand, that focuses on coral reef restoration, marine biodiversity research, and community-based conservation.

This is an incredible opportunity to work hands-on with a team of international scientists, dive instructors, and conservation leaders, and it will directly shape my future career in marine conservation.

Global Reef is known for its commitment to:

• Rebuilding damaged coral reefs through coral nurseries and transplantation

• Conducting species surveys on fish, invertebrates, and coral health

• Implementing eco-diving practices to protect sensitive habitats

• Leading ocean cleanups to remove plastics and ghost nets

• Educating local communities and visitors on sustainable marine practices

By joining this team, I will contribute to measurable conservation outcomes that protect Thailand’s marine ecosystems.

During my internship, I will:

• Assist in coral restoration projects

• Perform reef health monitoring dives

• Collect scientific data used in global databases

• Support marine debris removal efforts

• Participate in environmental education workshops

• Learn advanced diving and eco-survey techniques

This is hands-on, real-world conservation work—not a tourist program. I’ll be living and working alongside dedicated conservationists who are protecting one of the world’s most threatened ecosystems.

Your donation will help cover:

• Program fees for Global Reef

• Required diving certifications (Advanced and Rescue Diver)

• Housing and meals during the program

• Field Specialty Gear (reef-safe dive equipment, field tools, etc.)

• Conservation materials used in daily reef restoration

Marine conservation internships are rarely funded, and upfront costs make them hard to access without community support. This internship is a door to a future career path I care about deeply.
