Help Restore Bonnie: A Musician's Plea
Donation protected
Hello and thank you for your time today, and for taking a moment to stop in and possibly help out another creative guy. I'm sorry to say with all of life's struggles with my separation of home life, our real-life turn of events with COVID, my personal life has been rocky and financially difficult to say the least.
But my real love, Bonnie here, was commissioned by me and chosen by Luther in Ukraine in 2007, so she is now 18 years old. My grand panarmo was carved by all the best 200-year-old Carpathian maple and spruce. But unfortunately, the glue that holds her together is not so forgiving of time, so I'm asking today if there's just a little bit that somebody could help donate so that I can get this girl back together again and back on the stage where she belongs. As I love performing with this beautiful string bass. She has a huge sound and beautiful tone.
These dollar amounts include open-heart surgery, which means they'll have to take her top off and reglue all her top seams.
A tailpiece strap because the one that's on there is rusted for days.
A new end pin because the one that is on her currently is rusted for days.
New tuning pegs.
A new set of D'Addario 7/8 string bass strings.
A fingerboard planing because her fingerboard is warped and grooved from all the years of playing.
A bow hair for my German bass bow.
You know, I'm not normally someone to ask for charity. I usually am the one that helps everyone else, but at this present time in my life, I need help, and it's scary to admit that. But if anyone knows me, they will know these things are true.
