Help Ariana's Heart Heal: A Young Pastry Chef's Fight for Life. Ariana Alejandra Marrero Porras, a 27-year-old young woman who loves life and is very sweet.

May 8 in​ a family​ meeting she began to feel a strange and strong pain in her chest that caused her severe nausea. Later she felt a much greater pain spreading to her back. It was not known at the time that Ariana was suffering a heart attack, since due to her age this type of event is not common. Observing the seriousness of the condition, she was taken to the most accessible Health Center, where after some studies they confirmed that she had unfortunately suffered a high-impact heart attack. She was immediately transferred to a hospital that has a Cardiology center adapted to the care of this type of medical emergency. However, it does not have the implements and equipment to deal with these cases more efficiently. Therefore, there was a need to hire the external services of a private company so that a Cardiovascular Catheterization could be performed​. A procedure by which the doctors were able to detect and correct the failures found in Ariana's cardiac system.

In Venezuela, the hospital system lacks supplies, including basic supplies, and much more of this type of technology. We have made an effort to pay part of the treatment with our own funds, with the contribution of family and friends, but even so we are not able to cover the total amount.​ We appreciate all the support you have provided so far, but it is necessary to pay off the outstanding debts that not only come from the costs associated with the Catheterization, but also from laboratory tests, medications and others that complement the treatment to be followed so that Ariana's health can be restored 100% and thus she can continue to enjoy her youth and prosper in her profession as a Pastry Chef.

Mayo 8 en familia comenzó a sentir un extraño y fuerte dolor en su pecho que le produjo fuertes nauseas. Posteriormente sintió un dolor mucho mayor expandiéndose hasta la espalda. No se sabía en ese momento que Ariana estaba sufriendo un Infarto, ya que por su edad este tipo de eventos no es común. Al observar lo grave de la condición se llevó al Centro de Salud más accesible, donde luego de unos estudios confirmaron que ella había sufrido lamentablemente un infarto de alto impacto. Fue trasladada de inmediato a un Hospital que cuenta con un centro de Cardiología adaptado a la atención de este tipo de emergencia médica. Sin embargo, el mismo no posee los implementos y equipos para tratar con mejor eficiencia estos casos. Por tanto, hubo la necesidad de contratar los servicios externos de una compañía privada para que se le pudiera realizar un Cateterismo Cardiovascular. Procedimiento mediante el cual los médicos lograron detectar y corregir las fallas encontradas en el sistema cardiaco de Ariana. 

En Venezuela el sistema hospitalario carece de insumos, incluso básicos y mucho más de este tipo de tecnología. Nosotros hemos realizado un esfuerzo para cancelar con fondos propios, con el aporte de familiares y de amigos parte del tratamiento pero aun así no alcanzamos cubrir el monto total. Agradecemos todo el apoyo que han brindado hasta ahora, pero se requiere saldar las deudas pendientes que no solo provienen de los costos asociados al Cateterismo, también de exámenes de laboratorio, medicamentos y demás que complementan el tratamiento a seguir para que la salud de Ariana logre restablecerse en un 100% y así pueda continuar disfrutando de su juventud y prosperar en su profesión de Chef Pastelera.
