Help Restore Apple Grove Cemetery

Donation protected

On Saturday, June 22nd, a tornado completely destroyed Apple Grove Lutheran Church, located outside Argyle, WI. Built in 1893, this historic church had stood proudly for over 130 years. Behind the church lies our cherished cemetery, the final resting place for many of our church family members. The tornado's force not only leveled the church but also caused significant damage to nearly 100 headstones and markers.

While insurance will cover the costs related to the church, it does not extend to the cemetery. The initial estimate for repairing the headstones and markers exceeds $15,000, an amount the Apple Grove Cemetery Association does not have currently.

In this difficult time, many have asked how they can help. We believe the most impactful way to assist is by contributing to the repair of the headstones and markers. Our cemetery is a beautiful and sacred place, and we take great pride in maintaining it to honor those who have passed. We aim to restore it fully, ensuring it remains a beautiful tribute to our loved ones.

We are uncertain about the future of a new church building, but we are committed to preserving our cemetery. Every donation will go directly to the Apple Grove Cemetery Association for the restoration efforts.
