Help Us Rebuild Ant's Community Garage Seattle

I never imagined I would have to write these words.

On the afternoon of July 28th, Ant's Community Garage Seattle was the target of an arson attack. In just a matter of minutes, flames destroyed a space that took years of sacrifice, countless late nights, and the support of an incredible community to build—a space we built for the amazing people who believed in this dream from the very beginning.

Thankfully, no one was hurt. For that, I am incredibly grateful.

We can—and we will—rebuild. But we need your help.

When we opened Ant's Community Garage, our mission was never simply to rent out garage bays. We wanted to create a place where people who couldn't afford traditional repair shops could learn to fix their own vehicles, where experienced mechanics could mentor first-time DIYers, and where complete strangers could become friends over a shared love of cars.

We have always wanted the shop to be accessible to everyone, and we've intentionally kept our prices as affordable as possible. Our focus has never been maximizing profits - it's been serving our community. Every dollar we've earned has gone right back into improving the experience, expanding opportunities, and building something that people could truly call their own. The tradeoff is that we simply don't have the financial reserves needed to rebuild an entire shop from the ground up.

Over the years, we've watched members save thousands of dollars by learning new skills. We've hosted classes, community events, car meets, and countless conversations that started with, "Can someone give me a hand?" and ended with lasting friendships.

And Seattle wasn't just another location. It was home to an incredible community that chose to believe in our vision.

The building has suffered catastrophic damage, and while we are working closely with investigators and our insurance company, the reality is that rebuilding will take time. There will be expenses insurance won't cover, and we'll be working hard to keep our team employed and bring this community space back to life as quickly as possible.

The answer is simple: help us build it again.

Every donation, no matter the size, will go toward restoring the Seattle location, replacing damaged equipment, rebuilding community spaces, supporting our employees through this difficult time, and helping us reopen our doors as quickly as possible.
