Hello, we are Michigan's Military Heritage Museum, an IRS 501 c3 in Jackson Michigan. We are working with the Jackson Area Career Centers Automotive classes to restore a Vietnam era M38A1 Jeep with the students.
We have provided two jeeps to the students so that they can make one. The completed Jeep will not only be a testament to the men and women who served, but a learning tool for the students who worked on it. They will learn auto mechanic skills, some welding, fabricating, and of course teamwork as they work to salvage what they can from one to fix the other.
They will need some funding for new tires, brakes, fluids, battery, plugs, wires, and other miscellaneous parts to complete the project. Work has already begun and they have a running engine, one that hasn't run since 1979. Now they just need help with these extra parts so we are asking for any donations we can get to support them in this restoration. Whether its a monetary donation to help buy parts, or a donation in kind of the needed parts, all is helpful.
So please help us help them with any amount, it will go a long way and may even change the life of a high school student and put them on the path to a career. Thank you in advance for any and all donations, no matter the amount.
