Help Restore a Lifeline After Hurricane Helene

Please help donate to a hard working single mother in need of emergency assistance post-Hurricane Helene.

We suffered unimaginable flooding during Hurricane Helene in St. Petersburg, FL and my car was emersed in water to the door level for more than 7 hours.

My car is my lifeline as I work full-time and take care of my daughter on a daily basis by taking her to school, her job and her extracurricular activities as an active high-school junior involved with many clubs and volunteering activities.

I already contacted my car insurance company and they can't process my claim because I don't have compehensive insurance included in my policy. This is one of the main reasons why I'm reaching out to folks through GoFundMe for help.

The money raised will go towards much needed diagnostics & car repair and clean up to my existing vehicle, like checking all electrical components, fuel tank, and line. Also, removing water-damaged cylinders and checking for corroded spots. Also, my vehicle will most likely need to be drained of the transmission fluid, the oil pan removed and cleaned, the wheel bearings cleaned and repacked, and the gas tank siphoned and possibly cleaned.

However, if the mechanic determines that the vehicle is a total loss after the diagnostics are performed, the money raised will go towards purchasing a new vehicle.
