Please Help Us Restore a Historic 110-Year-Old Church in South Dallas!

For over 110 years, True Light Missionary Baptist Church has stood as a pillar of faith, resilience, and love in the heart of South Dallas. This church is more than just a building; it’s a part of history. A place that once held baptisms, weddings, food drives, and moments of healing and hope for an entire community.

Today, we are reaching out to you with urgent needs and an even greater vision.

Under new leadership, we are in the process of reviving this historic space and bringing True Light back to life. But the building, rich in history, has suffered from years of deferred maintenance. The truth is: we need your help to rebuild and restore.

Your Support Will Help Us:

Replace the entire roof, which has multiple holes and severe damage

Repair the parking lot

Address interior damage, including ruined sheetrock and ceiling panels

Restore electrical service (including inspection and permitting)

Pay off a $3,000 water bill so that renovations can continue

Repair exterior walls, steps, and grounds overgrown with brush and debris

Begin the restoration of the sanctuary, fellowship areas, and restrooms

Bring worship, outreach, and community services back to South Dallas
