Help Restore a Hero’s Home: Support Ms. Patricia Nunnally

My name is Raven, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of my grandmother, Ms. Patricia Nunnally, a proud Petersburg native who has dedicated her life to serving others — especially our veterans.

For years, my grandmother ran a local veterans’ home, offering shelter, care, and a sense of family to those who served our country. She was a guiding light for many — not just a provider, but a true community pillar. Even as she aged, her passion for helping never wavered.

But last year, she suffered a stroke that changed everything. Since then, she’s been unable to continue running the home. And just recently, tragedy struck again — her roof collapsed, severely damaging her home and disrupting her already fragile living situation.

My grandmother now faces the unbearable challenge of not being able to afford the urgent repairs needed to make her home safe and livable again. We’ve explored options, but without insurance covering the damage or enough savings, we’re turning to the community for help — the same way she once opened her arms to the community.

We’re seeking funds to replace her roof and repair the damage inside so she can live in safety and dignity. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to helping a woman who’s spent her life giving back.
