Some of you may have seen the post I made in November looking for recommendations on where to get my external hard drive fixed. I tried several places that couldn’t do anything for me and ended up shipping it to a suggested company in California. They are able to recover my data, but the charge is more than I can manage on my own, plus the cost of a new drive. On that drive is over a decade of my work — thousands of hours spent late at night, on weekends, during summers, carefully building lessons, differentiating instruction, designing creative projects, and refining materials year after year. Teachers don’t just “make a worksheet.” We revise and improve every year based on what worked for our students. We pour ourselves into making learning meaningful. Rebuilding 11 years from scratch feels impossible — and it would never be the same (yes, I know I should’ve backed it up and will NEVER make that mistake again). The cost is way more than I can manage so I am asking for help to restore the work that has supported hundreds of students over the last decade — and will continue to support many more in the future. If you’re able to help, even a small amount to offset the cost of the repair, it would mean so much! If you can’t donate, sharing this post would also be fantastic.
