Help restore 10 years of work - broken hard drive
Donation protected
TL;DR
Andy's hard drive is corrupted, containing all of his music and work. It's going to cost $2,500 for the recovery service to potentially restore the 4 TB of data. It would be really cool if you could help chip in.
Any amount will surely help. All donations go straight to Andy. Also feel free to just send money to Andy directly via Venmo (@andy-miami) or in-person, whatever. I'm sure it doesn't matter which way. I know Andy will appreciate any help.

Hey, if you're reading this, you probably know that handsome devil in the picture. Not only is he good looking, he's extremely unlucky. Which is why we're here with the gofundme. I'm Jason, a good friend of Andy, and I'm starting this gofundme because Andy is a stubborn donkey who refuses to make one. But I believe in him and what he does so I made this shit.
The other week, Andy's main hard drive got corrupted. It's about 4 TBs of data and contains almost 10 years of music and other works. Unfortunately, after a couple of days of extreme stress, intense googling, and trying every application that non-professionals could use, we could not restore the data. It's not even my data and I was extremely upset. Andy lost all his files, programs, and instruments that he has compiled and worked on for almost ten years, including his new (unreleased) album, which he planned to push for his big break. If you know Andy and his music, you know that he's never released or been able to show his music properly before, but this new album was going to be his start. For those who don't know Andy and his music, there's a reason why people like me are willing to work with him even though we might not always get paid. Either way, take a listen to what this new album was going to sound like: Holy Father Song
I'm sure you'll agree that we NEED to get this album back. But more importantly, without this hard drive, Andy can't do any work. He can't make any music right now for his personal projects or for his clients. It's a pretty bad situation right now. I'm still trying to convince the guy to get the hard drive looked at by the data recovery service but I understand that $2.5k is no easy thing to front so suddenly. I'm hoping that we can help make it easier for him to get back his stuff, his album, his work, and his livelihood.
So yeah, that's pretty much it. I'm including some other stuff below in case you haven't caught up with Andy in a while. This is a lo-fi project we worked on together called Insecure Music. There's also a documentary for Clarks that Andy did the sound design for and has opened new career paths for him. And then I also threw in a picture of the broken hard drive because why not. RIP.
Also, I'm in the process of strong-arming Andy into setting up a backup to his backup (which also costs more money but we'll get there slowly). So that we don't ever need to go through this stress again..
