We are reaching out to you with a heartfelt appeal on behalf of Reshma, a young woman who is five months pregnant with her first child, and just faced the most devastating tragedy of her life. Her beloved husband, Tony Jerin, was killed in a tragic accident when a speeding car on the wrong side of the road struck him. Tony suffered fatal head injuries and was rushed to Salford Hospital, where he was declared brain dead within 12 hours. After a short battle, he passed away the following day, leaving Reshma devastated and alone to face this unimaginable loss and situations.

Tony and Reshma came to the UK two years ago from border of TamilNadu and Kerala, India with dreams of building a life together. Tony was a hardworking and loving husband, while Reshma worked part time. Their future was bright, and they were excited about welcoming their first child into the world. But in a matter of hours, everything changed. Reshma, now grieving, is left not only with the emotional weight of losing her husband but also with the overwhelming financial burden of repatriating Tony’s body back to India, funeral costs, ongoing rent, and other living expenses.

Reshma’s life is now at a crossroads, she is far from home and without immediate family nearby. She may need to return to India permanently to be with her family, but the costs associated with this are steep. With no close family nearby, she needs help more than ever. Every donation, no matter how small, will help alleviate the tremendous financial pressure she is under while she deals with her loss and prepares for the birth of her child.
