Help rescued kittens & our local cat community

We have rescued nine kittens from our small village in Portugal and there's many more where they came from! There's a large number of stay cats and their litters throughout the country and we are striving to do what we can to help in our local community.

Your kind donations will help us cover kitten vaccinations, sterilisations and to feed and entertain them until we can find new homes for some of them.

But, perhaps even more importantly, we want to help deal with some of the root cause of this issue: the large number of stray, unsterilised cats making babies left right and centre.

We have connected with two local organisations that specialise in trap, sterilisation, release programmes as well as cat rescue and re-homing groups. Any funds we raised over and above our goal we will pass on to them.

Here's some of the things your kind donations will go towards:

Vaccinations for the kittens to treat against panleukopenia, rhinotracheitis, calcivirus and leukemia
Obligatory microchipping at four months old
Sterilisation of the kittens at six months old
Sterilisation of the wider stray cat population in Sertã and further afield
Food – and they eat a LOT!
Toys, towels, beds and other kitten related paraphernalia

We – and the kittens – will be most grateful for your donations and kind gestures.
