Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,

Hello, My names is Shaymaa, a British Palestinian living in the UK. I am reaching out to you in a time of profound urgency and desperation. I am seeking your assistance to raise funds for the emergency evacuation of my family of 7 members from Gaza with this GoFundMe page. We aim to raise this amount with your help and generosity. The funds will be utilized for border crossing fees, transportation, temporary accommodation, and other essential expenses associated with ensuring their safety during this challenging time. Our beloved family in Gaza has been ravaged by the relentless violence of the Israel-Gaza war. My brother, his wife, and their one-year-old daughter, along with my sister, her husband, and their two little children, have been displaced multiple times, their homes destroyed, their lives shattered.

Currently, they find themselves in Rafah, where over 1.5 million displaced Gazans struggle to survive. The situation is dire. They have no shelter, no place to call home, no refuge from the constant threat of violence. Every day is a battle for survival, with my brother and step brother embarking on perilous journeys at 4am to scavenge for food and water, often returning empty-handed after dusk, their hearts heavy with the anguish of watching their little ones cry out in hunger and thirst.

The suffering doesn't end there. In late October, tragedy struck again as my sister-in-law, Nadine, lost 25 of her immediate family members, including her mother and siblings. And just recently, in late January, she endured yet another devastating blow, losing the rest of her family, leaving only her and her injured father as survivors. My brother-in-law, Ahmed, shares a similar story of loss, with his sister and her entire family, along with extended relatives, tragically taken from this world.

Their grief is immeasurable, their pain unbearable. But amidst the darkness, there is hope. We refuse to stand idly by while our loved ones suffer. We refuse to let them face this nightmare alone.

We have come together to launch this fundraiser with one goal in mind: to evacuate our family from the horrors of war and provide them with the safety and security they desperately need. Your generous contributions will go directly towards securing transportation out of Gaza, temporary shelter, essential supplies, and medical care for those injured and traumatized by the violence.
