Hi, my name Frederick Paul Phillips.
I have a quite a story to tell about friends of mine that lived in Philippines.
I have known them for a year. They were a large family of 8 living day to day. The mother Yolanda
Gutierrez Philippines Zamboanga City was the bread winner was struggling to make ends meet and not doing too well. She got sick and basically lost her job. So, I came up with idea to buy them their own heavy-duty washer and dryer and they could start their own business. It took off almost immediately however I was only assuming that would do laundry from households near them. I was wrong and they immediately got 4 hotels. As God as my witness, I thought all hotels would have their own laundry rooms. They don't. They worked for a couple of weeks then everything fell apart. They got a driver to pickup clothes and take them to her home for her to wash then return them to hotel at end of day. On one occasion the driver took the money and didn't return the clothes. The Hotel complained and the mother got arrested. I got her out of jail after 2 or days and with Police's help the driver was eventually arrested.
The damage was done to mother and her health deteriorated. By the end of December 2024, she died. So of course, there was a funeral and all the costs that I accepted.
Then the family had a couple of members their family that suffered from Immune Deficiency Syndrome, so they needed regular medicine. I look after that. So, some of the costs were taking their toll on me. But wait the problems continue!
Then a younger sister got Malaria and even with medicine she passed away. Then the youngest Son (he had Immune Syndrome) also died.
They had a Police Officer (Marco) that appeared to help, and he did give them some rides for the family. Then Marco even got Maridel a job however that same day he asked me to give 6000 pesos for his daughter’s graduation. I said I could not afford it this week, but I will do something for you next week. That was not good enough and he said Maridel and her sister Rosa will pay with their lives. Just a couple of days before they had a brother who died of Malaria, eventually a total of 4 members of the family died of Malaria. Marcos the police officer came to their house and charged Rosa and Maridel with their brother’s death and charged the sisters for murder.
We got a report eventually from hospital that the brother did die of Malaria.
Not sure why, but there are two groups in the Philippines Muslim and Catholics, they hate each other.
One night they found out that their brother Jomarie and was beat him up badly and did the most God-awful things to him including with a bottle. At that time, we didn’t know who did it. But we suspected had it arranged.
Marcos was finally arrested however their court system Victims have to pay the bill. Which didn't help my financial situation.
Now that he was in jail Marco's wife decide to abduct Maridel and torture her. She got arrested and is now out of jail.
We had hired a lawyer, and we were recommended to Hire a lawyer named Melvin (think it is a nickname, not his real name). What we found out later was that this Melvin was very good friends with Marco (not so funny). After Jomarie got tortured, they came back and shot him in the arm. Police did nothing.
Maridel got caught and tortured again and was critical condition. The police did nothing again.
6 days later Jomarie was with Rosa and Maridel and the gunmen returned and they shot him again 4 times. This time they got arrested because there were other witnesses. He died instantly in front of his sisters.
Later her sister Rosa was beat up again (no witnesses). She eventually died of her injuries.
So, the only remaining family member was Maridel.
I was trying to get them visas to Canada but its very difficult with 2 members of a family.
Now there is only Maridel who is living on the streets because I have very limited funds and lawyer Melvin had her removed from the apartment, she…How, I do not know. Again, Melvin and his judge friend were driving force.
We met with another Judge who wanted to help however everything's so expensive.
We found out al the people that were talking to Maridel and pretended to be friends actually turned out to be working for Melvin and his Judge friend Gecelyn Orenciad We talked to another Judge named Malu. She was pretty good.
Maridel was arrested and put in jail for no reason. She was beat and attacked every night, they did not feed her, and she has bruises and cuts all over body. She had her to elbows dislocated. Judge Malu eventually and I got her out of jail, but she ended up going back in hospital to repair her elbows.
Because of all these problems she lost her Job, but I believe it was a girl named Lola which I found did work for Melvin.
She knew that Melvin was going to after to my son as he lives in Manila. We are not that close. He said he was going to arrest him and his whole family in jail. They don't know Maridel and we barely talk and has no idea why this is happening.
As of tonight, the judge, the lawyer, and five Police officers are in jail, but I can't afford the 1,000 to keep them in jail. They also threaten to arrest Maridel once again.... for what I do not know
What I am looking for some support for her to fly to Canada, get a Visa perhaps a refugee Visa. Some security for her before she travels. I can pay I hope what we are short. I will also offer money back on a monthly basis. I have Visa Lawyer I think I want to have someone or business from immigration to help in Philippines.
