Lola Alayla, a beautiful blue and gold macaw, is trapped in a heartbreaking situation along with several other birds. Right now, they’re living in an old swap meet that’s dirty, unsafe, and filled with roaches and rats. The man who runs the place cares only about money, not the well-being of the helpless animals in his care. Lola and the other birds have suffered so much—some have been picked on and injured, losing feathers and hope. They’re not getting the food or love they need, and every day they spend there is another day in misery.

My husband and I want nothing more than to bring Lola and the rest of these birds home and give them the lives they deserve. We already have another parrot, Kessler, who would be the perfect companion for Lola. We’re doing everything we can—even selling my husband’s treasured Harley Davidson motorcycle—to make this happen. But we can’t do it alone. We need help to pay for the rescue of Lola and the other birds, their immediate vet care, and to provide them with safe, loving homes where they can heal and thrive. Our goal is to get every bird out of that swap meet and shut down the operation so no animal has to suffer there again.
