On the morning of June 29th, we heard kittens and realized they were trapped inside our bathroom wall! We managed to pry open the wall and rescue all the four kittens. Their mom is a neighborhood stray who at times hangs out in our crawl space, but we had no idea she had gotten into the wall and given birth. Fortunately, we were able coax mom into a crate with them. They’re currently safe in a large temporary crate in our bathroom. Momma and her kittens will be separated in their own bedroom soon because they have now been cleared for FIV and FLV and no fleas!! That being said the vet said momma has a really bad ear mite case so we were able to get her and the kittens some ear drops that will help to clear it up! Also they are all girls!!

We are so excited for their journey with us but there are still some hurdles to come. The kittens are about 3 weeks old and are going to start weaning off mommas milk soon which will come with significantly high kitten food costs! They are also all scheduled for their first round of shots in a month and mommas second round. We are also waiting to get her stool culture back to confirm she doesn’t need any additional medications.

Donations will relieve our financial stress so we can focus on their health and getting the babies strong and independent. Funds will cover vet bills, food for mom and the babies, litter, care supplies, any medications, and spaying mom once she’s finished breastfeeding. With shelters and rescues overflowing, fostering them is a great option for proper care and a chance at adoption. We have an abundance of love for animals and would take in any animal in need.

With that being said, we still have some stressors, but we’re hopeful and willing to do whatever it takes to give these kittens and their mom a safe, healthy environment. Any support will help us provide the care they need and give them a brighter future. Thank you for considering a donation to help us make a difference!
