Bracho Family Rescue From Caracas

Donation protected
This family is facing man-made disaster in Caracas Venezuela. Hinder is a dear friend and former mission companion. Please consider donating to help Hinder, his wife, Johana, and their kids, Leslie (9), Jeremias (3) and Xiara (2) make the voyage from Caracas to Lima Peru so they may take advantage of the desperately needed habitation and aid that is waiting for them there.

Like many of their neighbors, the Brachos lack essential food, medicine, clean water, safety, and basic civil rights. The Brachos are from a little town called Naiguata, a couple hours away from Caracas, Venezuela.  As you may have seen in the news, Venezuela is in economic crisis.

In a previous effort, generous donors like you gave enough money for Hinder to arrange habitation, aid, and bus travel for the family to Peru. Now, due to flooding and legal changes in Venezuela and throughout South America along with political conditions it is no longer safe or possible to leave Venezula by land.

The window to leave the country by air is also closing. The Brachos departure goal is April 21st or 22nd 2017. We are working with the family to help them obtain necessary travel documents and airline tickets. Please join me in helping Hinder rescue his family from the disaster in Venezuela.

I served as Hinder's field trainer and worked and lived with him in the small town of Santa Rita Venezuela for four months. During that time we discovered our true potentials and the meaning of hard work.

Hinder was essential in helping to establish a legal aid program for Columbian refugees seeking citizenship documents and civil rights in Venezuela. He served as their advocate in front of local and government officials in Santa Rita and also in central Maracaibo where he worked and served in the mission central office for five months.

Upon returning to Caracas, Hinder remained dedicated to a life in service to others and accepted a call to work as a Stake President for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He did this while supporting his family working a full-time job as an airline dispatcher for the airport in Caracas.

Thank you for any assisntance you can provide to this  most deserving of families. Honestly, even $20 is greatly, greatly needed and appreciated. Given exchange rates, your $10 or $20 will accomplish much more than you can imagine.

Our minimum goal, required for airline tickets for Hinder and his family is $1514 (current pricing as of 4/11/2017 via Avior Airlines). If we hit that goal, the family gets on the plane. Additional funds over that amount help cover necessities in Peru.

Thank you, please share this campaign with others.

Sincerely,
