This October, we're helping Hank take on something much scarier than ghosts and goblins: heartworms.

Hank is one of the dogs currently in our care at Grammy Rose Dog Rescue & Sanctuary, and after testing positive for heartworm, he now has a treatment journey ahead of him. Heartworm treatment isn't a quick fix. It requires veterinary care, medication, treatment and plenty of quiet recovery time as his body heals.

So this Howl-o-ween season, we're asking our community to help Hank give heartworms the BOO! Every donation to this fundraiser will go toward Hank's heartworm treatment and care as he works toward becoming heartworm-free.

Because Hank is still undergoing treatment, we don't yet know exactly what his total medical costs will be, and the amount needed may increase or decrease as his care progresses. Any funds raised beyond Hank's final medical expenses will go directly toward the medical care of other dogs at Grammy Rose who need it.

Whether you give $5, $10, $25 or simply share Hank's story, you're helping provide lifesaving care to dogs who deserve their second chance.
