My name is Matt, I’ve been based in Thailand since June 2025, working in the field alongside law enforcement and NGOs who carry out child protection and recovery operations across southeast Asia. I work directly with them as we locate children in harmful situations and help bring them to safety.
what I’m involved in isn’t charity work in the usual sense. It’s hands on work with real children and real lives being pulled out of horrific circumstances by trained professionals who commit everything to this mission.
My role stays intentionally blurred for safety, but I am part of the field teams working in challenging environments where children need urgent support.
current progress – June to December 2025
June field work:
- 104 young women brought to safety
- 14 underage girls brought to safety
- 121 suspects detained by authorities
- establishment closed by officials
July field work:
- 21 young women brought to safety
- 10 suspects detained
- establishment closed
August field work:
- 4 underage victims brought to safety
- international trafficker/pedophile detained
- additional suspect detained
- trafficking network disrupted
October training:
- 20 new agents trained by partner teams
November field work:
- 25 individuals found/identified
- recoveries pending
