Help Rescue Bambi & Dotty – Two Sweet Street Dogs in Danger
Donation protected
Meet Bambi and Dotty — two gentle young girls (approx. 1–2 years old) currently surviving on the streets of Didim, Turkey.
Life has never been easy for them, but things just got much worse: Turkish municipalities are rounding up all street and beach dogs and sending them to severely overcrowded municipal shelters — where many dogs don’t make it out.
These shelters are heartbreakingly under-resourced, with outbreaks of parvo, distemper, tick infestations, and even days without food. Dogs are often crammed together regardless of size — and sweet, shy dogs like Bambi and Dotty (only ~12–15kg each) don’t stand a chance.
✈️ We have a plan to get them to safety — but we need your help to make it happen.
A loving foster home is ready to take them in, and a beautiful sanctuary in Italy — Palamut Pooches — is waiting with open arms. There, they will be cared for, rehabilitated, and have the chance to be adopted into the homes they’ve always deserved.
My name is Maggie and I work with both Palamut Pooches and the Turkish animal charity Dihad, who are helping organise foster care and transport. Once in Italy, I’ll be caring for Bambi and Dotty myself full-time.
What your donation helps cover (for both dogs):
• Titre tests (travel requirement): £510
• Vaccinations (rabies, mixed, kennel cough): £60
• Deworming & flea/tick treatment: £45
• Safe flight (cargo): £170
• 2 travel crates for medium-sized dogs: ~£250
Total Needed: £1,275 GB
⏳ Time is running out — the vans collecting street dogs are out daily. Once Bambi and Dotty are taken to the shelter, it will be much harder (if not impossible) to get them out.
Every penny helps. If you’re not able to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser — it truly could save their lives.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart — and from Bambi & Dotty, too.
