Help rescue abandoned kittens from bad breeder.

Hello!

My name is Maranda St. Martin. I recently met the most kindhearted person who has spent the last few years of her life dedicating all her resources to rescuing cats. She works with rescues across MA to pick up cats in need, treat them, and find them forever homes, covering all of their needs and expenses out of pocket with little to no reimbursement. Recently, a big breeder located in New York reached out to her to let her know that she had a handful of purebred kittens that had contracted ringworm. Instead of getting care for them, the breeder opted to abandon them outside in the February cold. At 11 PM, Marina got the call, jumped into her car, and drove across the state line to rescue these 4 kittens. After many months of treatment and vet appointments, these 4 kittens have been stabilized, albeit at a very high cost for treatment.

Fast forward to just 2 weeks ago, and the situation has repeated itself. Only this time, the condition of the kittens is far more dire. Left in a garage with no food and little water for over a week, Marina had to spring into action again to save these 2 kittens from the verge of death. They were given to her, soaked in their own urine and feces, eyes muddied with black discharge, covered in ringworm, and severely underweight. Despite not having the financial means to do so, Marina put herself in even more debt to save these precious kittens in hopes that she can rehabilitate them to give them a better life.

Seeing as I am currently still in the process of rehabilitating the previous 4 kittens, my hands are completely tied both physically and financially. We have yet to cover the veterinary costs of the first 4, and this new pair is likely to put us over the edge. Marina is facing repossession of her only vehicle and foreclosure of her house. She is in no position to take on more debt to save these lives, which is why I am turning to all of you for help. The initial goal of this is $6,000. This will be used to cover the vet bills for the two new kittens. If any more is reached, those funds will be used to cover the vet bills of the previous four and to help save her home so she can continue to do the rescue work that she does.

Any and all donations and shares are appreciated. I know things are hard for everyone, and we are only asking to give what you can or to spread the word so we can save these sweet babies' lives.

From the bottom of ours and the kitten's heart. Thank you.
