My name is Nixy and I am fundraising to support my dear friend Lindy Ryan and her family during an incredibly difficult time.

On Saturday 10 January 2026 while attending a dog show at the Dogs QLD Showgrounds, Lindy was showing her beloved Bloodhound when she suddenly became unwell. She informed the judge that she had a severe headache before losing consciousness. Lindy became unresponsive, was unable to speak, vomiting and lost movement in her right arm. She was urgently transported by ambulance to PA Hospital.

Doctors discovered that Lindy had suffered a brain bleed caused by an aneurysm and she was taken into emergency surgery. Whilst the surgery was successful, there were serious concerns that she may not survive. Lindy has since been placed in a medically induced coma and may require further surgery.

Thankfully, Lindy is currently showing signs of improvement which gives us hope however, her medical team is still uncertain about her long term recovery, particularly in relation to her cognitive abilities and physical function once she is brought out of the coma.

This unexpected medical emergency has placed immense emotional and will have financial strain on Lindy and her loved ones as she lives with her show dogs and livestock on acreage so there will be difficulties with looking after them all and the uncertainty of when she will be discharged from hospital.
