On October 20, 2021, our father, George Pelonis, died suddenly of Covid. Our mother, Maria Pelonis, is currently on a ventilator in Beaumont Hospital fighting for her life with Covid. My brother, Konstantinos Pelonis, is a 43 year old disabled man, who has been cared for his entire life by my parents. Along with trying to pay funeral expenses for my father, we are now responsible to caretake my brother.

Konstantinos is legally blind and suffers from severe epilepsy, requiring 24 hour care and multiple daily medications. My father was Konstantinos' legal payee for his social security and therefore his benefits will be stopped along with my fathers as of 10/20/21. We will have no income from my parents to pay for thier rent or Konstantinos caretaking. We will be able to apply to become my brother's payee and caretaker, however this can not be done for several weeks. In the interim it is very expensive to cover Konstantinos needs and daily living costs. We are praying that people will show my brother compassion and love and contribute to his living expenses for the time being until we can get him settled.
