I’ve been a “lone wolf” cat rescuer for 10+ years independently pursuing my passion, cat rescue, without an organization directly funding me. And while I do have access to some wonderful programs (free colony food, vet care for sick/injured cats, spay/neuter clinics) there are still a lot of expenses I personally incur…..vet costs, food and litter, etc.
Just last night, I had to pay $702 for a dental for one of my rescues out of my own funds. I also buy cat food to distribute to feeders of 5 colonies I help out with…it’s somewhere 25-30 cats.
I bring in as many friendlies as I can off the street and find them indoor homes. Kevin pictured here is one of those rescues….had a terrible wound to his leg (amputation was luckily avoided) but after being pulled in off the street and getting medical care, he was adopted by the most loving humans…such a reversal of fortune for him.
My kitty fund needs replenishing so I can continue to help the street cats like Kevin…thanks if you can help and please share!
p.s. I know some folks don’t like to make donations on gfm because of the small fee. You can also contribute to me on paypal at paypal.me/krisnorthrup or on Venmo at @Kris-Northrup
