Hi, my name is Jacob, and I’m fundraising to help replant trees across Cornwall that were blown down during the recent storm.
Like many people locally, I’ve seen the damage first-hand — mature trees uprooted, hedgerows destroyed, lanes and fields left exposed. These trees weren’t just part of the view; they provided wildlife habitat, flood protection, soil stability, and shelter for our communities.
A single storm can undo 50–100 years of growth.
This fundraiser is about starting that recovery — now.
⸻
What this fundraiser will do
Every donation will go directly towards putting trees back in the ground, focusing on areas where storm damage has had the biggest impact.
Funds will be used for:
• Native Cornish tree saplings (including oak and other appropriate species)
• Tree guards, stakes, compost, and protection
• Supporting local planting efforts with landowners, volunteers, and community groups
Where possible, planting will prioritise hedgerows, woodland edges, and land affected by erosion or habitat loss.
⸻
What your donation achieves
• £10–£20 helps plant and protect a young native tree
• £100 helps fund the planting of a larger, more established tree
• £500+ supports a small planting area or hedgerow restoration
Every contribution — big or small — makes a real, visible difference.
⸻
Transparency & accountability
This is important to me.
I’ll post regular updates here, including:
• Photos of planting days and progress
• How many trees have been planted
• A clear explanation of how funds are spent
If more money is raised than can be planted immediately, it will go towards ongoing tree care or future planting projects in Cornwall.
⸻
Why this matters
Trees are essential to Cornwall’s landscape and future.
Replanting helps:
• Restore wildlife corridors
• Reduce flood risk and soil erosion
• Protect farmland, footpaths, and lanes
• Leave a healthier environment for future generations
If you’re able to donate, thank you.
If you’re not, sharing this page helps just as much.
Together, we can help Cornwall grow back
