This week, as I returned to The Bay to begin a new school term, my backpack was stolen along with my work laptop and journals. The laptop is my primary tool for school, research, and writing, and not having it at the start of the semester has made things much more difficult. The journals mattered just as much. They held years of poetry, music, and reflection, many gifted to me by a doctor I once worked with at the hospital during a formative chapter of my life. They were a quiet archive of growth, healing, and becoming. While those pages are gone, the voice they helped shape is not. I am moving forward with intention and gratitude.
Support from this GoFundMe would help me replace essential tools so I can stay present in my sustainability studies and continue the work I am committed to: learning, creating, and giving back. Thank you for reading, for sharing, and for any support you are able to offer. I am deeply grateful to be held by community as I begin this new chapter.
