Help Replace Serhii’s Stolen E-bike

Hi everyone, thanks for taking a look at this page! My name is Kyle and I’m hoping to help raise funds so that my friend Serhii can replace his e-bike that was stolen from his apartment lobby. All money raised will go directly towards payment for a new e-bike.

Serhii moved to Ottawa, Canada in March of 2023 from Poland, after moving there from Ukraine. He is an intelligent, ambitious, generous and sensitive person. Always so thoughtful and always remaining positive. He has watched his home country be senselessly invaded and attacked, but has faced adversity with so much strength and determination. He’s made himself a life in Canada, finding passion in nature and starting up his own cleaning company. He does not have a license and so his main mode of transportation has been his bike. After having 2 of his manual bikes stolen, in public, he purchased an e-bike in January to help get him around the city, especially for work. He had his e-bike stored in his apartment building, but unfortunately sometime overnight, between January 21st - January 22nd, he had his e-bike stolen, despite it being behind the locked entrance of the building (the door unfortunately does not always latch, which is another issue). He had a chain lock on the bike, which was removed for the bike to be stolen. He is still paying for the bike and had only used it 2 times with the weather warming up.

Even with his e-bike being stolen, he laughed at how his friends might react to this, and has been trying to sort out how to navigate the situation, including filing a police report. Unfortunately with thefts like this the likelihood of being resolved is very low.
