I’m raising funds for my husband, Koda, after his scooter was stolen while he was playing a show at The Eagle in San Francisco. This scooter isn’t just convenient for him, it’s essential. Koda only has one leg and depends on his scooter to get around the city, get home safely, and make it to band practice and gigs. He is in three bands, and music is such a big part of his life and connection to the community. Having his scooter taken while he was performing was heartbreaking and has made everyday life much harder for him.

Koda has already been through so much. He survived a hit-and-run accident, and the injuries from that crash led to his leg being amputated. The driver was never caught. Koda spent five years in a wheelchair, and now he uses a prosthetic leg, but he still relies heavily on his scooter to get around San Francisco. Replacing it will help him get back to rehearsals, gigs, and daily life with more independence and stability.
