Jamison is our 10-year-old son, and this past Christmas, my wife and I worked hard to make his wish come true by getting him a dirt bike. It was what he asked Santa for, and we managed to pull together just enough to have it ready for him under the tree. Along with the dirt bike, he received safety gear and some fishing equipment, including an ice fishing flasher he was so excited about from last year. These gifts meant the world to him and to us as a family.
Two nights ago, our sense of security was shattered when thieves broke into our cars in the driveway and used a garage door opener to get into our home. They stole Jamison’s dirt bike, all his safety gear—helmet, goggles, gloves—and his fishing gear. Seeing the disappointment and heartbreak on his face has been incredibly hard. With my work slowing down in the winter, we simply can’t afford to replace what was taken right now, and it’s been a tough lesson for all of us.
We’re reaching out for help to replace Jamison’s stolen gifts. Any support would mean so much, not just to help us financially, but to show Jamison that even when bad things happen to good people, kindness and generosity can still shine through. He is a very kind and special boy, and we want him to hold onto that hope. Thank you for considering helping our family during this difficult time.
