Help! Jaiden's Make-A-Wish e-bike Was Stolen!!!

Jaiden is my 16-year-old son, and he’s living with CYSTIC FIBROSIS—a terminal illness that affects his lungs and digestive system and makes every day a challenge. Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disorder that causes thick sticky mucus to build up in the body causing persistent lung infections and digestive issues, nutritional deficiencies and limits the ability to breathe over time. Despite everything he faces, Jaiden has always found ways to stay positive and independent.

Last year, Jaiden was granted a Make-A-Wish. He had his eyes set on an ebike. This ebike gave my son more than we could have imagined—it provided him with the ability to ride a bike longer distances than he normally could with his lung function. It represented freedom, independence, and the chance to experience joy on his own terms and with his friends who also have bikes. His wish day was so special. The company Happy Run, who I contacted and told Jaiden’s story, decided to fully donate the bike to him! The owner of Happy Run even drove the bike all the way from California to Las Vegas to deliver it personally to Jaiden, making the moment unforgettable for him and our family. UNFORTUNATELY, last night, while he was grabbing chicken nuggets at McDonald’s, someone stole his Make-A-Wish ebike. Our family is devastated and we are doing everything we can to try to recover it, but I worry it may never come back—or if it does, it might be damaged beyond repair. We’re starting this GoFundMe to help replace Jaiden’s ebike, helmet, bike lock, and to cover the costs of printing flyers and ink. Although the total amount we’re trying to raise is for a full replacement, we are using smaller milestone goals throughout the way to show Jaiden the progress and keep him motivated—and us as well. If we’re lucky enough to raise more, it will go toward extra special experiences for Jaiden, who truly deserves some joy after all he’s been through.

Thank you so much for reading our story. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this and helping us get the word out. Hopefully, we’ll also bring more awareness to cystic fibrosis, because a lot of people don’t know what it is. Any support you can give means the world to us. Thank you for helping us give Jaiden his wish back! He is the beneficiary of this GoFundMe.
We have decided that if more money than what we need is raised we are going to donate it to the cystic fibrosis foundation in Jaiden's name
