The beautiful wall of stained glass at GrindHouse Coffee was all made for the shop by the owners late grandfather. Earlier this year, one of the panels was shattered by someone attempting to break in. Then last month, in June, someone slipped behind the shop and stole three of the stained glass panels, using a blade to cut them from their frames.
This wonderful, whimsical labor of love has been damaged for totally senseless and stupid reasons, and it couldn't have happened to people who deserve it less. Amanda and Lou, the owners of GrindHouse, are incredible women who take such amazing care of their community and their staff. They've found an artist to recreate the missing stained glass and we, the staff of GrindHouse, are hoping to raise even just a little bit of money to help replace them with as much love and intention as the originals were given.
It isn't cheap and unfortunately insurance isn't going to cover much, if any, of the costs. The plexiglass backing to safeguard the stained glass that is still there cost a mind boggling $800 and the quote to replace all of the missing panels is $3,100. We know Amanda and Lou would be so grateful for any amount we're all able to contribute so please donate if you're able!
