If you've ever seen me play cello in the last 27 years, it was almost certainly on my first and only cello.

I'm Julia Feltham. I played a show on Saturday, first show since a medical hardship --and then Sunday, with the help of adorable cats and bad luck... I broke my cello in half.

Recently I was put on medical leave from work due to a very personal medical crisis . Don't worry, I'm mostly ok now! But am still not back to work and medical benefits still havent kicked in. I would love to fix my trusty old beloved cello--my first and only cello--but luthiers have told me she will never play fully in tune. So I will likely need to wholly replace her too, especially before our band finishes our album.

A few dear friends and family suggested I reach out for support this way given the circumstances... but I am pretty uncomfortable asking for help, but I also know I will treat music and myself as a much higher priority with a bit of support. And I know I can hopefully pay many of you back with music and new songs!!

It's been a wild few months on my heart, and financially a hard time too. Which is honestly the time I feel most called to make music. As many of you know, I'm not the best with money and have never cared much for it having spent most of my life in the lucrative life of non-profits, social enterprise, music and community work-- and don't currently have much wiggle room for big surprises and hardships such as now.

I'd be forever grateful if any of you would be willing to help fund my replacement cello and my musical journey, or spread the word that I'm in a surprising moment of need. Any little bit helps ♡
