Earlier today, someone stole my husband David’s wheelchair right off our porch. David is fully assist due to a traumatic brain injury, and his wheelchair is essential for his safety and independence.
We had just purchased a new chair out-of-pocket after his old one broke, since the state wouldn’t cover a replacement. Losing it has been devastating — not just financially, but because it’s his only way to engage with the world.
David’s chair needs specific support features to keep him safe and comfortable. Without it, he can’t leave the house or do the things he loves most, like going to live music and spending time with friends.
We’re asking for help to replace his wheelchair as soon as possible. Any donation or share brings David one step closer to getting his mobility and freedom back.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
