Hi, my name is Lawrence Potts, and I’m a paraplegic living in South Florida. I’m reaching out with an urgent plea for help.

Just s few days ago, my central air conditioning system failed completely right in the middle of Florida’s brutal summer. Temperatures are soaring past 90°F every day, and without a working AC, my home has become dangerously hot.

For most, this kind of heat is uncomfortable.

But for someone like me living with a severe spinal cord injury extreme heat can be life-threatening.

❗ Why This Is an Emergency

As a paraplegic, I have:

Limited mobility

Impaired ability to regulate body temperature

This means I can't cool myself down the way most people can. I rely completely on air conditioning to survive. Without it, I’m at high risk for:

Heat stroke

Dehydration

Pressure sores

Other life threatening complication

This isn't about comfort it's about survival.
