On August 1st, Frank Kaimer (my Dad) was working as an independent contractor for CAL FIRE, battling flames at the Park Fire's front line, when their position was over run by changing winds and all heavy equipment had to be abandoned in order to preserve human life. While supporting the Dozer crew's that battle on the front lines, men like my Dad will often live in their trucks for more than a week at a time to support fire fighting crews nonstop, 24 hours a day.

Unfortunately as you can see in the picture, my Dad's Peterbuilt and trailer both were consumed in the flames and he's currently unable to work until he gets replacement equipment. The equipment is very costly and insurance will not cover it enough to fully replace it to get my Dad back in business. There were 3 other independent contractors that lost equipment in the same incident and if they post on this site, I will include their links here.

My Dad is a generous person, but would never ask for a hand out, so that's why I made this fundraiser for him. Anything helps and I would love to see him get back out there supporting the firefighting efforts in our state.
