Help Replace Boats from Venture Quest Kayak Fire
On April 9th, a fire started in the Moss Landing harbor area which sits at the ocean entrance and at the mouth of Elkhorn Slough. Dave Johnston, the owner and director of Venture Quest Kayaks, operates off of the Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf and was also storing boats in this area near the Moss Landing trailer park. Around 6 of his double seated sit-inside boats were completely destroyed and melted in the fire. Dave leads whale watching tours out off this area, and a large portion of Venture Quest's income comes from these boats. The reason for the fire is still being investigated at this time, however a large portion of the surrounding land and other boating possessions were also destroyed.
We appreciate any and all assistance to refund the damage from this fire, and the replacement of these boats is necessary for Venture Quest to continue operating smoothly from this area. Thanks for reading this all and thank you to anyone who can help out!
Love,
The Johnstons
