Help replace Ben’s stolen guiding gear

Dear family and friends of Ben-

Shortly after Christmas, just over a week ago, a large portion of Ben's mountain guiding gear was stolen from his truck- about $2500 worth. If you know Ben, you know how passionate he is about his career in guiding. He loves teaching and equipping people to achieve goals and have experiences they may never be able to have on their own; he truly changes lives in such a unique way. The passion and excitement he has for his career is contagious.

When Ben called to tell me what happened, I had never heard him sound the way he did on the phone that night. I could tell he was feeling down and defeated. He has spent years investing in all of this equipment. The incident was reported to authorities, insurance, and local gear shops, and it's extremely unlikely that he will get any of it back. At this time, Ben does not have the financial means to replace any of these stolen items.

Ben's career in guiding is his livelihood, and without a doubt he needs his guiding gear to be able to do his job. I knew Ben wouldn't want to reach out and ask anybody for help, so I convinced him to let me do it instead, by starting a fundraiser on his behalf.

I'm hoping to raise $2500 to replace all of the stolen items before he starts teaching winter courses on January 16th.
