Help Replace a Van for a Brighter Future

Hi folks.

coming in with a delicate mutual aid ask amidst cascading polycrisis, ecocide, Jen oh side and a tense political climate.

a couple months ago a tree claimed my aging ford transit van. A van I purchased in 2021 with mutual aid support. As we know, insurance is a scam and despite never having a claim, they undershot the value of my van so much that, to actually replace it, I’m a few thousand short.

I’m supported by a housing voucher and am currently safely housed. I’m trying to expand the shape of my life and business over the next year and having a spry vehicle that can take me on the road for performances, to the mountains for self care and also haul garbage (county life!) and other wares for shows and catering would drastically impact the quality of my life.

this week, I found my dream van right here in town. I get the health report back on Friday but my sense is— this is the van.

im asking for community support to make the purchase smooth without me blowing my tiny savings stash (and I’m someone who does not have a parent, sibling or any family to call on in these times).
