My name is Evert Silva Rivera, and I am the father of Kristopher David Silva Guzmán.

With great pain and humility, I am creating this campaign to ask for support during one of the most difficult moments of my life: the repatriation of my son Kristopher’s body to our homeland, Nicaragua, where his family and loved ones will be able to give him a final farewell.

Kristopher passed away unexpectedly on September 30, 2025, in Pennsauken, New Jersey (USA). His passing has been a devastating blow to his family and friends, both in the United States and Nicaragua.

Kristopher was born on December 2, 2002, in Chinandega, Nicaragua. He was a joyful, hardworking young man full of dreams. His passion was listening to traditional Nicaraguan music, and he dreamed of saving money in the United States to open his own barbershop, as he had studied for that profession. He arrived in the U.S. in September 2024 and worked at a fast-food restaurant, while on his days off he cut hair to keep practicing what he loved most.

His wish was always to help his family in Nicaragua and one day return to share his achievements with them. Today, his family needs the solidarity of everyone to be able to give him a final farewell in his country and fulfill his last wish of resting in his homeland.

The funds raised will be used to cover:

Transportation expenses for the body to Nicaragua

Legal and funeral procedures

Funeral and burial expenses in Nicaragua

The estimated cost of the repatriation and funeral services is $11,000 USD.
