Dear friends and community members,
We are heartbroken to share the tragic news of the passing of Ansh Aggarwal, a bright and kind-hearted student from Chandigarh, India, who sadly passed away at his residence in Wollongong, Australia, just a few days ago. Despite efforts from emergency services, Ansh could not be revived.
Ansh was only 21 years old. He came to Australia in July 2023 as an exchange student and quickly became known for his humility, dedication, and willingness to help others. He touched the lives of many fellow students here with his generosity and quiet strength.
Ansh’s family is based in Jalandhar, Punjab, and unfortunately, no one from his family is able to travel to Australia. We are now working with the Indian Consulate, Hindu Council, and other local organisations to arrange the repatriation of his body and personal belongings back to India.
We have estimated a cost of approximately AUD $15,000 to cover:
Repatriation of Ansh’s body to India
Funeral-related expenses
Shipping of his personal belongings
Any remaining funds will be sent directly to his grieving family
We kindly request your support—any amount, big or small, will help. Once the target is met, we will close the fundraiser. All documentation and expenses will be transparently shared on this page once the process is complete.
