With deep regrets, we share the news of the sudden demise of our mother Achenkeng Regina in Toronto, Canada.
In 2019, Regina traveled to Canada from Cameroon to visit her son Agendia Lekeazem, her daughter-in-law, Mafua Fontem Atabong and tender for her two grandkids.
She was a kind, jovial, gentle and loving person who loved spending time with her two grandkids and helping others.
About two weeks ago, everyone in the household became suddenly sick with Covid.
Ma Regina and son Agendia, deteriorated rapidly and both of them were admitted in hospital.
A few days later, their health got worst and they were transfered to seperate Intensive Care Units and placed on a ventilator.
Unfortunately, Regina unexpectedly died on May 22, 2021, age 65. Agendia, her only son in Canada remains under critical care.
This tragic incident has shattered their family. This devastating loss has left them in great pain that is beyond our imagination.
Coupled with the uncertainty about Agendia's health, his children aged 8 and 2 cannot understand that their grandmother would not be coming back home and his wife Mafua Fontem remains in a state of utter shock.
One cannot mitigate the trauma Mafua Fontem is currently going through.
As friends, well-wishers and colleagues of Agendia Lekeazem, it is our first moral duty to support his family to the greatest extent we can.
Our little help will support repatriate Regina to her place of birth, Cameroon, as she always wished for and provide some relieve to her family.
