Help Send Jon Christian Home to Norway

Jon Christian Møller was the love and joy of my life, a father, a brother, a son, a former policeman and special victims investigator, a former Police Adviser to the UN and strong promoter of the 'International Day of Police Cooperation', an author, a marathon runner, a rock n'roller, a biker, a watch enthusiast - he was "sammensatt" in Norwegian, diverse in English. Jon was a passionate man and a successful professional, but he also struggled with mental health for many years.

Sadly, Jon lost his battle with mental health on September 13th, 2024. Jon lived in Norway and was visiting me in Brooklyn when he passed. I am raising money to help his family with the repatriation costs, so that he may take his final flight back home to rest in peace in Norway. Jon was 51 years old and leaves behind his three children, Christian, Håvard and Ingrid, his three brothers, Torgeir, Torbjørn and Håkon, his parents Jon and Grethe, and me, his fiancée.

Any money raised in excess of the repatriation costs will be donated to the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention. You may also contribute directly to Jon Christian's Memorial Fund at AFSP

Jon's family and I would like to honor his memory by raising awareness about mental health and suicide prevention. In the Western world the suicide rate among males is four times higher than among females. Men face more challenges in seeking help due to societal stigma and fear of judgement. There has also been an increase in suicide rates among law enforcement and peacekeepers. Your donation to AFSP will be used towards funding more scientific research, educating the public about mental health, and advocating for public policies.
