We are heartbroken to share the unexpected passing of our dear friend Babu Palanisamy, aged 40, in Montreal, Canada. His sudden death has left us devastated and facing an incredibly difficult situation — we need urgent help to send his body back home to Tamil Nadu, India, where his grieving family is waiting to say their final goodbyes.

Babu was a warm, kind-hearted soul who always supported others, even while silently carrying his own burdens. Despite his personal struggles, Babu remained generous, dependable, and deeply compassionate. Tragically, he passed away with no financial resources, no immediate family in Canada, and no one to shoulder the burden of this heartbreaking loss. His estranged wife is also not in a position to offer support.

As close friends of Babu here in Montreal, we are doing everything we can to take responsibility. But the cost of sending his body back to India is far beyond what we can manage alone.

The process of repatriating a body from Canada to India is complex and expensive. It involves funeral home services, embalming, documentation, and international transportation — all of which amount to approximately $25,000 CAD.

Babu’s elderly parents and family in Tamil Nadu are in deep shock and sorrow. They are desperately waiting to receive him one last time — to perform his final rites and say a proper farewell.
