On Friday, our family experienced a heartbreaking tragedy. We lost a kind, bright, and loving 19-year-old young man in a tragic construction accident while working in Colombia. His life was full of potential, and his sudden passing has left our entire family devastated.

His father—facing a pain no parent should ever endure—is now trying to bring his son home to Venezuela so he can be laid to rest with dignity, surrounded by those who love him most.

Sadly, the cost of transporting his body across countries is overwhelming, and far beyond what the family can afford.
