- the car wouldn't stay running so I replaced the fuel pump. When it broke down before in Washington state, a mechanic indicated the fuel pump was the issue. Fuel gage has scorch marks.
- Wouldn't run after fuel pump replacement
- The battery dies because car cannot run.
- I get a jump starter and put 3 gallons of gas into tank, then it turns and will stay running and will crawl.
- I attempt to move car, get stuck in sand.
- Dig tires out and get another car to pull me out with tow cord. No power at all afterwards. No exhaust coming from Tailpipe. Car revs fine.
- I purchase throttle body cleaner, fuel injector cleaner, and catalytic converter system cleaner.
- I get code reader and read the engine code. The only code displayed is for the Evap system. There's always been a notification on the dash saying something about the gas cap, so evap system has issue but it shouldn't be affecting to this degree.
- I inspect solenoids and wiring underneath car. Muffler is fine, charcoal canister has flow. Some of the wiring underneath hood is wrapped in aluminum tape and sparks when touching heat guard on engine. There's also a fluid leak, the wires and connectors are caked in oil and dirt. There's puddles under car more than before.
- I then realize the transmission dipstick is completely dry. I get three gallons of transmission fluid, fill car. Still no movement. New whining sound from engine.
- it's now suspected that my transmission has gone.
