Serendipity Plants Needs Help After Vandalism

Donation protected
On Monday, October 27, a homeless individual smashed out the front window of Serendipity Plants in Garfield Park. The event was witnessed by many people, caught on videotape, and the police have been notified.

Dayna Thompson, owner of Serendipity, just finished six months of cancer treatments last Friday. She has given every ounce of energy she has fighting to stay alive. The cancer has also created a financial burden for her and her family. This act of vandalism is a huge setback for her and her small business.

The purpose of this GoFundMe is to raise funds in order to replace the front window in the shop as well as inventory inside the shop that was damaged.

Dayna has been a vibrant part of the Garfield Park neighborhood for years. We have been anxiously awaiting her return to work after completing her cancer treatment, and we need to provide a better welcome home than smashed glass and thousands of dollars in repairs.
